Johnstown FolkFest 2007 -- Friday, 31 August

In all the years that we have been going to the Johnstown FolkFest I don't think we've ever been able to attend all three days of the event for one reason or another. In the past we would pick the five or six bands that we wanted to see and that's where we went and stayed for the whole two hour show. This year was different. My goal this year was to get to see and take pictures of all twenty-one acts. To say that we had a damn good time would be an understatement.

This year the show was opened by Jackson Monsour, a local artist from Bedford, about an hour south of Johnstown, PA. Also performing tonight was another local band, The Marauders, of Altoona, PA.

I was born at Miners Hospital. I have lived most of my life in Va. I lived in Watkins for a brief period as an adult. Wish I had taken more photographs. My son now lives in my old house. So who knows maybe I'll have time this weekend when I visit. Thank you for sharing. I have enjoy looking at your work. An extra thanks for the pic of Andy. I went to NC for a year. I rarely get to see how everyone has changed.
