Back to Normal

Now that it's Spring and I'm able to get out and about without worrying how the roads are and what the day's weather conditions are all about I can get back on the road again so I can see what's on the other side of the mountain.

Overnight snows contributed to several wrecks in Elder Township including this one on Miller Street (Old Route 36) on Saturday morning. By the time I got on scene the Hastings Fire Department was already in the process of extricating the pickup truck driver from the vehicle. We have placed a video of the accident at the end of this week's blog.

The passenger compartment landed in this drainage ditch, thus preventing the roof from caving in.

As you can see from this picture we did have a pretty good overnight snow.

The following photographs are from the Hastings Easter Egg Hunt, held at the Community Park IN THE SNOW.

Yet another Medivac helicopter sits on the pad at Miner's Medical Center in Elder Township outside of Hastings, PA. This is the third helicopter to operate out of this facility in three weeks.

The Patton Easter Egg Hunt was held at the Patton Volunteer Fire Company Hall. Of all the Easter egg hunts held for the children of the area, this was by far the best planned, organized and attended! As you can see from two of the pictures, they even had an Easter Bonnet contest!

Killbuck Creek flowing into Glendale Lake, Prince Gallitzin State Park. This is one of my favorite places to take pictures at the lake because it is constantly changing due to the seasons and the water level.

This barn is located on Bender Road outside of Patton, PA.

This is another first for the blog. We have placed a video from the accident on Saturday below.
